ISRO to Launch India's Latest Spy Satellite on December 11
India's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) rocket would launch the land'southward latest spy satellite RISAT-2BR1 and ix foreign satellites on December 11, said the Indian space bureau. Co-ordinate to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), the rocket numbered as PSLV-C48 will lift off at three.25 p.k. with RISAT-2BR1, a radar imaging globe observation satellite weighing about 628 kg.
The rocket volition blast off from the outset launch pad at Sriharikota rocket port in Andhra Pradesh and identify RISAT-2BR1 into an orbit of 576 km. The satellite will accept a life of five years. Piggybacking on the Indian satellite would be nine strange satellites from the United states (multi-mission Lemur-4 satellites, technology demonstration Tyvak-0129, earth imaging 1HOPSAT), Israel (remote sensing Duchifat-3), Italy (search and rescue Tyvak-0092) and Japan (QPS-SAR – a radar imaging earth observation satellite).

These international customer satellites are existence launched under a commercial arrangement with NewSpace India Express (NSIL). According to the ISRO, the satellites volition be carried past PSLV-QL variant. The rocket will accept iv strap-on motors and the December 11 flying volition be the 2nd space trip for this rocket variant.
Only over 16 minutes into its flying, the rocket will sling RISAT-2BR1 and a minute afterward the showtime of the nine customer satellites volition be ejected. The launch mission is expected to conclude in about 21 minutes when the last of the client satellites volition be put into orbit. Till date, the ISRO has put into orbit 310 foreign satellites and if the Dec 11 missions turns out successful, then this number will go upward to 319.
